PROPLANT
Active ingredient: propamocarb hydrochloride 722 g/L
Preparative form: concentrated suspension
Manufacturer: Arysta Lifescience Benelux SRL, Belgium
- Proplant has preventive, curative and antisporulant effects, granting a complete and long-lasting protection of root, stem, leaf and tuber of plants.
- Proplant stimulates the root system of treated plants, by foliar or soil application.
- Proplant is an excellent anti-resistance tool as it inhibits various stages of Pythium and Phytophthora spp.
- Proplant is an acropetally systemic product: applied via root it moves rapidly upward through the vascular bundles. This characteristic grants strong rainfastness properties.
- Environmentally friendly: it has no effect on beneficial insects (including bees) and is quickly absorbed by soil microorganisms.

Systemic fungicide with protective action. Absorbed by the roots and leaves, and transported acropetally.
Mechanism of action
Systemic fungicide that belongs to the carbamate chemical group. It acts by interfering with the synthesis of phospholipids and its fatty acids, thus interrupting the formation of the fungi membrane cell. It affects the mycelium growth, the production and germination of spores. Due to this specific mode of action, propamocarb is not likely to generate resistance.
Therefore, Proplant is effective in different stages of the fungus cycle: mycelial growth, sporulation and spore germination. Proplant can be applied as a preventative compost drench or by incorporation, root dipping or by foliar spraying. Proplant is absorbed by the roots and transported into the foliage thanks to its upward systemicity. These acropetally systemic properties grant a strong rainfastness. Proplant is safe and very selective.
Proplant is IPM (Integrated Pest Management) approved.
Compatibility
Incompatible with preparations with a strong basic or strong acidic reaction. It is necessary to study the compatibility of the mixture and the undesirable effects on plants in advance.
